We finaly arrived at Islay.
I lost may bath shoes on top of the car..
thos shoes where with me in the army..on top of the volcanos in mexico, twice done the camino..what an end!
but we visited Ardbeg.
Nice little Destill. Had a special tour.
Emptying casks, that’s nice to see.
Got our tasting there.
I just lovve tiny whisky tours.
6 persons max.
You get more fun out of it.
Islay is realy tiny.
Could walk it in a day.
Tomorrow down to Bruichladdich. or however they spell that name.

today I did some „serious walking“
Still aexhausted from yesterday, I climbed mount ben nevis a second time.
but this time with bt42.
he was still a virgin, in mountain business.
So, he was really fast at the beginning and slow to the end.
You know this, Holly, just like me up to La Faba.
Up on top of Ben Nevis, there were some strange people from sweden.
strange outfit, strange behaviour.
testing my equipment, I relaized, I need special anti georg sweating clothes..they can’t handle me:)
tomorrow up to Island of Islay or shit:))

What a Day!
I just wanted to go up a bit Ben Nevis, testing my new euqipment.
But what did I do?
Walking up to the top, 16km, 1344m, and then again halfway back..and around Ben Nevis.
8h of pure mounteinous walking..And tomorrow again.
BT42 couldn’t attend, ahd some serious business to do.
But so did I!
Equipment worked fine, but human failed.
Sweat a lot..everything wet.
But Windstopper is a nice jacket to have.

We arrived at Ben Nevis.
First a tour through the destillery..
not so amusing.
very industrial and only a wee bit of whisky to taste.
The bandwidth is very low in this youth hostel.
But we have to do a beer tasting!
this is complicated tuff..
so we go eat first and drink hopefully good beer

What a day!

If in scotland, you have to definitly go into the Aberlour tour.
This is always so funny!
Drank a lot of wash.
Only a bit of spirit.
Meet funny swedish people, Mother and Son on Tour.
Afterwards we went into the Pub.
And met the local people..
George, a pseudobagpipe playing drunk, Steve, was stationed in germany.
Both envyd us, for speaking english so fluent.
The beer here was tasty, but not in the other pub.
Sheepshagger something.
Never drink a Loch Ness beer!

Yesterday, first beer tasting..as I told you earlier.
The last beer we tasted was the most hatefull beer, I have ever finished.
It tasted like..butter..
Yes, Butter!!!
arghl!
Just like in Harry Potter..
Butterbeer.
Really really really bad.
I hope, today in Aberlour, I can wash the taste out of my mouth with Wash!

Now we are back at the hostel and starting tasting beers again:
Hebridean Gold, BT42s choice, Pedigree, funny name, Gold Miner, Innis & Gunn, all my choice..

Driving in UK is, obviously, strange.
Onthe wrong side, keeping track of speed, etc.
Tired, as I was, first time on the left side…this was fun.
But motorways are free, no cars, so enough time, to practice driving.
But I realized.
Do not drive and blog.
I am used to think in a car..what to blog.
But behind the wheel, this is much more difficult.
So I felt asleep 3 or 4 times:))

We arrived on the island.
And had our first delighting experience here.
Bought a T-Mobile Datastick at ASDA.
didn’t work.
Drove into Leicester, went into the T-mobile Shop.
And Karolina realy lived up to our company guidlines.
„I am T , count on me“
And the thing, mentioned in the title.
It’s nice to know, that even on the island, people know how to give the best.
